 Getting More Traffic to your web-site

Things You'll Need:

1. Step 1

   First I'm assuming you have a website, you've submitted it to search engines, and directories, and are still trying to get traffic. I'm also assuming that you are a member of some kind of link referral program. Also all my suggestions below are free. There are always free ways to advertise. :)

2. Step 2

   Whenever a new site is created, it takes a long time to get it indexed. Wordpress is quick. If you are thinking of creating a website or blog, I say wordpress. This will get your site indexed a lot quicker. If your site has a site map, it will also get indexed quicker.

3. Step 3

   Next, do the article thing. Write as many articles as you can and plaster them all over the web. It should enough that when you google your own name you can see all your articles on the first page.

4. Step 4

   Now for a press release. Most people don't do this enough. If you have a business, or a website and there is something really great happening share it. Not enough people use this feature. A press release should be used to announce a new business, announce a new addition to a business, talk about some event, or charity etc. So whenever you have something newsworthy, write a press release and submit it to all the press release sites.

5. Step 5

   Lastly, go to forums. Make your profile have a signature, with your url. Forums are sticklers about advertising, but most sites will let you advertise your url on your signature. So the more times you post something, the more advertising and back links your website is getting. One note of caution, most forums won't let you post affiliate urls, so either domain forward them, or link cloak them.
